Connect a domain using nameservers or DNS records

A domain name, DNS service and website hosting are separate parts of your setup. You can keep a domain at another registrar and use it with Fasting Host hosting.

Choose where DNS is managed

If you change the domain’s nameservers, manage DNS with the provider responsible for those nameservers. If you keep your existing nameservers, make the required changes at that DNS provider instead. A domain transfer does not necessarily move your DNS zone.

Point the right records to your service

Use the hosting or VPS IP and service details supplied for your account. Update the intended hostname’s records, including the website name and any required www record. Preserve email and verification records that your other services still need.

Nameserver controls are available for supported domains in your client area. If DNS-record management is not offered for a selected domain, make record changes with its authoritative DNS provider. DNS changes can be cached, so different networks may see the new result at different times.

Need help planning a change?

Contact support with the hostname, desired service and current DNS provider. Do not post domain authorisation codes or account passwords in the message.
